A Data Jigsaw Puzzle in the Production of Diabetes Drugs

Faglige nøgleord: Data science, machine learning, data engineering, mechanical engineering

Oplæg tilgængeligt på: Engelsk og tysk

My project is in the field of data science and is carried out in collaboration with Novo Nordisk. The aim is to apply data science methods to historical production data to find potential for improvement. I will give an introduction to what data means in the field of data science, explain the production steps, and describe where the data for my project comes from. Lastly, I will highlight some example cases and challenges from my project.

The main impact of the project is improving human well-being by increasing the supply of important drugs and improving their quality.

After finishing my bachelor’s degree in Germany, I came to DTU for my master’s and have stayed here for the PhD. While the PhD project is in the field of data science, my bachelor’s and master’s education was in mechanical engineering, so I can also include information about what a mechanical engineer does in my presentation.

Throughout my studies, I have also worked and studied abroad in China and the US (as a mechanical engineer).
