Are you get tired of heating devices, or fast finishing batteries? We are using more power in smaller areas because we want to have things faster in electronics. It brings problems with loss and heating. So if we want to playing game with decent pixels, in games and films, compute-simulate problems, use AI in the future more, we need to look for efficient components.
So my project is about efficient power management in electronic devices, specifically mobile phones. If we think each parts in the electronic devices as buildings you have been in a day, we can imagine that we are burning our energy for transportation and communication along the way between buildings. We propose here an apartment with cafeteria in it to spend the day. It will help us to maintain our energy longer with shortened paths. Also we can easily take lunch breaks and drinks. Thus, we are promoting vertical architecting, rather than horizontal in electronics.
My personal background is strongly science-related. I finished science high school in Canakkale, Turkey. After a success in university entrance exam, I moved to Istanbul for my bachelor in Bogazici University. During the university, I attended some research related in-body sensors desing and wireless sensing of bacterial infection via antenna. Also, I had an exchange experience in Hong Kong Science and Technology University. Lastly, I came to DTU for my MSc. I worked in nanofabrication facility and try to invent a new method for electronic component fabrication. So, I am still continuing my PhD focusing electronic component fabrication and application, specifically Si-integrated capacitors.
