In my talk, I’ll explain how I use data and biology to help make new science projects more sustainable and cost-effective. My research focuses on building a tool that can tell if a new idea — like a way to produce medicine or fuel — is good for the planet and makes sense financially.
I’ll keep things fun and interactive with some quick quizzes and examples to show how science and math can solve real-world problems.
I’ll also share my personal story. I wasn’t always a great student, especially after moving from the U.S. to Israel, which was tough. I studied biology and economics in Tel Aviv, worked in hospitals and COVID labs, and then moved to Paris to study synthetic biology. That’s where I realized I wanted to lead my own research. Now I’m doing my PhD in Denmark, working on a project I really care about.
