My research is about piezoelectric materials for targeted drug delivery, triggered by medical ultrasound.
In my presentation, I will introduce students to the concept of piezoelectricity and piezoelectric materials and how they work - in this regard I would bring some piezoelectric sensors and show them how by mechanical stimulation (touching them) they can create an electrical stimuli. 
On the sustainability angle, the material I use (chitosan) comes from food waste and I think it could be interesting for them to discover that even common waste can become functional material used in healthcare. 
To make the talk more engaging I will bring some simple props (chitosan, sensors, pills, ..) and include quizzes that they can relate to. 
I would also share a bit of my personal journey; how I went from being a language high school student in Italy to pursue an education in engineering. I think there are a lot of different paths to science, and passion is the most important thing - and one can find it on the way!
