Oplæg tilgængeligt på: Engelsk og spansk

My presentation is about myself my journey and my current PhD project here at DTU. My research area is in anaerobic digestion and my project is about creating a model surrounding waste treatment facilities. The idea is connect urban and industrial waste streams to produce more effective digestion and get value added products, such as growing microbial protein with methane, using the biproducts from treatment for fertilizer, and producing a natural gas substitute. Wastewater treatment is an invisible industry and these upgrades would promote sustainability.

As for myself and my journey i finished highschool in Alaska, played rugby and American football at university in Washington state, studying brewing science. Pursued my masters degree at Reykjavik university in sustainable energy. Did an Erasmus at a biology lab in Belgium, wrote my thesis living in Japan, and then took a couple gap years living in Hong Kong. I wanted more education and to move into an emerging field, i was passionate about the environmental and found this opportunity at DTU. Now I am here.
